Respected Sir/Madam, The Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute organized a Technology Talk titled “Rainwater Harvesting and Artificial recharge-Concept, Design and case studies” on 10th March 2022 at 10.00 am for the students of B.Tech Civil Engineering, M.Tech Structural Engineering, M.Tech Construction Engineering and Management, B.Sc.Geology and M.Sc.Real Estate. Dr.S.Arivalagan, Joint Registrar, gave the welcome address. Dr. RA. B. Depaa, Deputy HOD, introduced the guest speaker to the students. The resource person for the session was Dr. R.Raghuraman, CEO, KGR Research Foundation who explained elaborately about the various aspects of ground water and artificial recharge including case studies from various parts of the country from Tamilnadu, Orissa and Jharkhand. Students actively participated in this program and gained knowledge on various aspects of rainwater harvesting. The Program was organized by Mr.D.Ramakrishna, Assistant professor. Mrs. A. Hemamaline – Assistant Professor proposed the vote of thanks.
