It feels grateful to share the report of the final day program of short term course on ‘Curriculum Design and Development’ and the valedictory ceremony held on 18.02.2022 with 322 participants. The resource person Dr.A.Shyamala Devi, Asst. Prof., Department of Education, University of Madras, Chepauk campus, Chennai addressed the gathering on ‘ Recent trends on Curriculum Development’ highlighted few trends on New Realities: The Further of Education on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality that are in progress.
The resource person elaborated recent trends followed in United States from STEM to STEAM and the plan followed in China- Thinking Based Learning and detailed on the New realities: the future of education through virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality does. On the whole the session was a complete package on ‘Curriculum Design and Development’.
The valedictory session started with a brief report of the short term course by Ms.J. Vigneshwari followed by a feedback session. Participants came out with positive response that the short term course was very useful to bring out a change in the society through curriculum restructuring based on the needs of transformation. Finally the five days short term course on ‘Curriculum Design and Development’
came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr.Antony Santhaseelan, Meston College of Education and by saluting the nation through National Anthem.
