The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Association with IEEE MGR Student Chapter organized the Professional Society event on the topic “ MACHINE LEARNING USING OPEN SOURCE TOOLS ” on 08.04.2022 at 12 noon for the UG/PG students, Research Scholars and faculty members. Dr. A. Kalaivani, Professor, Department of CSE, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences was the resource person.
The session started with a welcome address delivered by Dr.K.Sujatha, Professor/EEE (Dean-Consultancy).Ms.Sneha, Student coordinator introduced the Speaker. Dr.Kalaivani presented and discussed on the latest technology in Machine Learning using Open Source Tools. The presentation covered the topics like Introduction to machine learning, types of machine learning. She explained about the open source WEKA tool and also its modules like WEKA Explorer, pre-processing and classification by cross validation and percentage split methods. She also demonstrated how to use the tool for a small application. Faculty members, Research scholars and students gained more knowledge about the topic. The session concluded with Q & A session. The session was very interactive and informative for the students.
