The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Association with IEEE MGR Student Chapter organized its 25th Alumni Lecture for Students on 27th April 2022. The Speaker of the session was Mr.Xavier Selvam, Executive Director from Goldman Sauchs Ltd ,Singapore. The lecture was conducted in Zoom Platform. 95 students and all faculties participated in the event. The session commenced around 11.00 AM.
The Welcome Address was proposed by Head of the Department, Dr.S. Bhuvaneswari .The Special Address was given by Rector, Dr. D.Viswanathan.The Key note address was delivered by Addl-Registrar ,Dr.V.Cyril Raj .The Introductory Address was given by Dr.L Ramesh ,Joint Registrar-EPA.
The speaker explained about the Career Opportunities in the Electrical Fields. Mr. Xavier Selvam explained about how to crack the Interviews without fear. He discussed about how to prepare for Interviews.He encouraged all the Students to attend internships which may be a boon for their industrial experience.He also explained how to prepare a resume and covering letter which may be an added advantage for being selected in a company. Finally, he concluded the lecture by give respect to elders and teachers .He motivated the students to become entrepreneurs in solar sector & E vehicle Technology.
The session concluded with Q & A session. The session was very interactive and informative for the students.
