With an enthusiastic encouragement and support from Hon. President, 72nd International Human Right Day was celebrated by , First year (E&T), Faculty of Engg & Tech in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC), by Organizing an Awareness Program on Human Rights in Democracy: Expectations and Realities on 10th Dec at 2.00pm. Dr.K.Balasubramaniam, Director,IQAC welcomed the gathering. Our VC madam, Dr.S.Geethalakshmi, in her inaugural address expressed the need for such awareness amongst young generation. The chief guest Dr.RONIE THOMAS, Head & Assistant professor, Department of Political science and Public administration , St.John’s College ,Anchal gave a an eye opening session regarding the lever system of imbalance, Human rights – it’s History & Evolution.
She also elaborated importance of human rights , it’s violations ,protectors , LGBT , Marginalization of Gender Equality. At the end of the session all the participants took a pledge to promote and protect human rights of all, at all times without any discrimination.
