India’s first 3D Printed house at IIT MADRAS

The Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering organised a visit to India’s first 3D Printed house at IIT MADRAS. 10 faculty members from Civil and 2 from Mechanical gained an insight about the new technology. Created by Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions, a start-up founded by the alumni of IIT-Madras, this 3D-printed house overcomes the pitfalls of conventional construction. The house was inaugurated by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Dr T Felix kala, JR student affairs and Dr R Ganesan, JR CDC organised the visit. We thank our Honorable President sir for his constant support and encouragement in all our activities.
