Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, Faculty of Architecture with Academic Staff College conducted a 5day Virtual National Level Faculty Development Program “BEYOND TEACHING – ORIENTATION TOWARDS DOCTORALRESEARCH PROGRAM, RESEARCH WRITING, RESEARCH FUNDING & IPR” (27 September2021-1 October 2021)
The Faculty Development program is designed to ensure faculty members overall development and wellbeing. This FDP intends to provide assistance to facilitate upgradation of knowledge, skill towards Research and Research activities. The FDP featured sessions on Doctoral Research, Research writing and Methodology, Research Funding & Patent filing.

It was a grand successful event, we had more than 70 + registrations from all over India, Architecture and diverse filed Faculties from SPA –Bhopal, CEPT -Ahmedabad, BNCA-Pune, JAWAHAR College –Hyderabad , MAHE- Manipal University, VIT university , Satyabhama University , Measi Academy of Architecture , CARE College –Trichy, ETC… participated in the FDP and it was a great interactive session with lot of involvement from participants and the Q& A session was very participatory .

DAY 2 FDP SESSION – 28 SEPTEMBER 2021
Dr. SRIDEVI RAO ,Hon. President, Indian Society of Landscape Architect, Principal Landscape Architect, Sridevi Associates, Hyderabad presented a session on “RESEARCH ORIENTATION& WRITING”- 71 PARTICIPANTS JOINED THE SESSION FROM ALL OVER INDIA .
DAY 3 FDP SESSION – 29 SEPTEMBER 2021
Dr. SWATI SAHASRABUDHE , Professor, Head of Department of Landscape Architecture is associated with Department of Landscape Architecture, BNCA since 2006. As a Convener, Education Board, ISOLA (Indian Society of Landscape Architects) presented a session on “RESEARCH ROADMAP & METHODOLOGY “- 77 participants joined the session from all over india.

Dr. SANDEEP AGRAWAL , PhD, AICP, MCIP, RPP | Professor & Director, School of Urban and Regional Planning; Associate Chair, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences | 3-107 Tory, Urban Environment Observatory, University of Alberta, Canada
Dr. Agrawal is the recipient of the Canadian Institute of Planners’ 2021 national award for Academic Excellence and Alberta Planning Professionals Institute’s Legacy Award.

SPEAKER 2: DR. CEDRIC JOSEPH MANUEL, CEO CINTELLIGENCE SERVICES presented a session on “PATENT FILING & IPR “ -63 PARTICIPANTS JOINED THE SESSION FROM ALL OVER INDIA.
DIGITAL MOMENTOS and special gifts were presented to all the FDP speakers.
We got an overwhelming response and a very good feedback from all participants and they all were interested to attend our future events , overall the event was successful at national level .
