The Faculty of Education feels elated in sharing the report of the subject lecture on ‘Diagnostic Assessment in Education’ by Ms.J. Vigneshwari, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education on 7. 9. 2021 at 11.00 am through Google meet. Diagnostic assessment consists of identifying the nature of an illness or other problem through the examination of relevant symptoms. In education, a diagnostic test helps to identify a student’s learning problems so that the teachers can provide instructions to remedy those problems. This session was organised with the objective to lead the prospective teachers towards the purpose of Diagnostic Test. It also intended in elaborating the steps involved in the diagnostic test to assess the learners at the beginning stage and set the methodology for the target group.
