We are extremely happy to share the report of the Subject lecture on Indian Literature organized by the Department of English held on 23/01/2024.
The speaker of the session was Dr. V. Karpagavadivu, Associate Professor, Deputy Head(Admin), Department of English, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute.
At the outset of the event, Dr. A. Anitha, Head, Department of English rendered an inspiring opening address.
Dr.Mary Thomas, Dean, Department of English inducted the audience to the topic of the day.
The session was handed over to Dr. V. Karpagavadivu, the speaker of the day. The session gave us an overview of Indian literature. The session ventured into aspects like Indian literature, Indian writing in English, History of Indian literature, Background and Major Indian writers.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session. A platform was provided for the students of III B.A English to share their views on their favourite Indian writers and their works.
The Department of English takes this moment as a great privilege and honour to thank our Honourable President Sir for his constant support and encouragement and all the Executives and management for the smooth conduction of the event.
