The B.Sc students of the Department of Chemistry visited Neyveli Lignite Corporation for an industrial visit on 8/9/2023. The Public Relation Office department in the NLC cordially cooperated in visiting Mines, Afforestation and Thermal power Plant. The inquisitive questions of the students about the process in NLC, role of the chemist, were well patiently explained by the Technician Mr.Jayakumar at Thermal Power plant. This industrial visit gave a very good exposure to the students in learning about the extraction of a carbon ore and its utility in the production of energy. On behalf of the students and staff of the Department of Chemistry, I wholeheartedly thank our President, Er. ACS Arun Kumar for giving us the opportunity and permission to have this industrial visit. Sincere thanks to all the dignitaries of our Institute for their cooperation and support.
