We are profoundly elated to share the report of the Five day virtual international Faculty Development Programme on “Research methodology” which was jointly organized by the Faculty of Education and the Academic staff college, Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai from 20th June 2022 to 24th June 2022.
The session of day 5 began at 1.30 pm on 24th June 2022, holding 898 participants across the globe. The resource person Dr.V.Gopukumar, University Librarian, Digital Library, Kerala. He gave his session talk on the topic “Formatting the Dissertation using MS-Word. The elaboration of setting the default fonts, paragraph indenting, and creating own styles with the demonstration was extraordinary. He clearly explained about inserting page numbers and creating sections that allow to number the pages in different ways in the same document. He explained in detail about inserting tables, figures, maps and creating content tables for different chapters of a dissertation and merging them. The session was really amazing and caught hold of the participants.
The Valedictory session for the 5 day International Virtual Faculty Development Program kicked off with the welcome address which was followed by the presentation of the report of the 5 day International Virtual faculty development program.
The valedictory address was delivered by Dr.V.Cyril Raj, Joint Registrar, Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. His address focused on the societal benefit of the research. He encouraged the researchers to do authentic research work that would uphold our nation’s name and fame among the world countries. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.K.Vasanthi, Deputy Dean, Academic staff college, Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute.
Finally, after the participants shared their thoughts, views and suggestions about the 5 day International virtual Faculty Development Program. The “National Anthem” was played at the end of the valedictory ceremony.
