Sir C.V.Raman Research Council organized Research Mirchi C08 at ACS Medical College & Hospital on 20th April 2023.The Panelist were Dr. Madan Jeyaraman, Assistant Professor/ ACSMCH, Dr. M.R.Wilson John, Associate Professor/Mech.
Dr. Jibi Paul, Professor/ Physiotherapy, Dr. Gejalakshmi, Associate Professor Pharmacy , Dr. Leonoline Ebenezer from ACS MCH, Dr.A. Sumitha, Asst.Prof / ACSMCH , Dr. V.Sathyapriya, Associate Professor ACSMCH,Dr. Nirmal F Betty, Asst.Prof/ TMDCH, Dr. Sridevi Sangeetha Asst.Prof/ AHS , Dr. Usha,Asst.Prof/ CSE, Prof. Parameshwari Vice Principal/ Faculty of Nursing. The onlookers were composed of Ph.D. scholars from various health sciences departments, postgraduate students and third-year students from the faculty of dentistry who are eager on doing research and publication. Dr. V. Shankar Ram Dean (J&P) welcomed the gathering, which was followed by a discussion on publications and their aspects. The discussion began with the view of the panel members on putting forth a good research question; it was followed by the suggestion of the forum to expand the researcher’s views rather than repetition of the topics.
Numerous valuable points were laid down for the budding researchers and it was emphasized that everyone should have a research gate profile, and utilize the social media platform to enhance their research profile and publications. It was also mentioned that students must inculcate the habit of writing and reading publications of various authors related to their fields of interest. The students in the forum were enlightened on the importance of following ethical guidelines. The importance of increasing the citation was highlighted by the panel members. Certain online forums like Elsevier Finder to find a good journal for publication and the Zotero online platform for reference segregation were introduced to the students.The session concluded with a vote of thanks given by Dr. Yuvarani – Associate professor of the Department of Physiotherapy.
