On 26th September 2022 Techastra’22, the spectacular 14th National Level Technical Symposium conducted by Department of CSE began with huge enthusiasm. The Inaugural was held at Open Auditorium, Main Campus in Dr.M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, Maduravoyal at 10 am.
The host Ms.Pushpamitra, 4th year Btech Cse, began the event Inaugural with the National Anthem followed by playing the theme video of Techastra’22.The welcome address was delivered by Dr.S.Geetha, HOD of CSE. Dr.G.Gopalakrishnan, Provost delivered the Presidential address .Dr.D.Usha, Staff Coordinator briefed about Techastra’22.
The chief guests of the event, Mr.Sivaramakrishnan Senthatty, Executive Vice President and Global Head, L&T Infotech Ltd and Dr.V.Sankaran, Senior Project Manager, HCL Technologies enlightened the addressed the gathering.
The felicitation address was dellevered by Dr.D.Viswanathan, Rector , Dr.V.Cyril Raj, Additional Registrar, Dr.N.Ethiraj, Dean E&Tand Dr.Rajavarman, Dean CSE&IT.The vote of thanks was given by Mr.L.Marish, 4th year Btech Cse.
Following the successful completion of Inaugural, 10 events were conducted with a combination of 5 technical and 5 non-technical events. These events include Call for papers,Mr.robot,Short film,Live photography,ADZAP,Work the bugs out,Burnt out ,Voice over,Osint ,Doodle art.A total of 235 students from 29 colleges participated with huge enthusiasm and confidence.
TECHASTRA’22 DAY 2 :
Day 2 of the grand Techastra’22 Technical symposium was conducted on 27th September 2022. This day consisted of 10 events with a combination of 5 technical and 5 non-technical events.
These events includeReady player one ,Rehash,MGR’s got talent,Scene recreation,Tech support,Amigo que,Hawking ,Channel surfing,Physic testing,Render.204 students from 28 colleges participated in these events and won exciting prizes and rewards.
TECHASTRA’22 DAY 3:
The final day of techastra was organized for the school students which comprises a total of 6 events.
The events includeFast typing,quiz,treasure hunt,model making,doodle art,dino.There were around 170 students from 7 different schools participating in these events.
After the successful conduct of junior events, the valedictory function was organized in seminar hall at 3pm. The event commenced with the welcome address by Dr.P.Dinesh kumar, additional HOD CSE. The techastra’22 report was presented by staff coordinator Mr.Arun, assistant professor. The presidential address was proposed by Dr.V.Cyril Raj,additional registrar. Then the introduction of chief guest-Mrs.Panchi Subramanian was given by student coordinator Ms.S.Denika, btech cse final year. It was succeeded by the felicitation of chief guest by Dr.V.Cyril Raj, additional registrar and the valedictory address by chief guest-Mrs Panchi Subramanian. Then the introduction of special alumni guest – Mr.K.J.Naveen was given by student coordinator Mr.Somasundaram, Final year Btech Cse. It was succeeded by felicitation of chief guest by Dr.L.Ramesh,Joint registrar,EPA. The key note address was given by the special guest. The prize distribution ceremony was conducted. SBOA School and Junior College won the overall Trophy. Honoring of the staff and student coordinators of techastra’22 was done.
