The Faculty of Humanities and Science, Department of English celebrated National Youth Day – YACE’22 on 12th April 2022 at 11.00 a.m. The program was conducted online through streamyard with live broadcast on YouTube. The program started with the Tamil Thai hymn and University promotion video. Dr. M. Chandrasena Rajeswaran gave the welcome address. Dr.S.Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor gave introductory address. Dr.D.B.Jebaraj, Additional Registrar (E&S) gave the felicitation address.
Ms. S. Sowmiya, Assistant Professor, Department of English introduced the Chief guest Dr.M. K. Shakila, Dean School of Management, Guru Nanak College, Chennai. Dr.M. K. Shakila presented a PPT to help the students understand the importance of youth responsibility. Then YACE’22 Magazine was released by Dr.M. K. Shakila. Ms. K. Gayathri Assistant Professor, Department of English briefed the audience about YACE’22 competitions and announced the prize winners of each and every competition. YACE’21 report was read by Ms. R. Abinaya, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Then Ms. A. Julie Elizabeth, Deputy Head, Academics gave the Vote of Thanks. The whole programme was anchored by Ms. R. Priyanka, Assistant Professor, Department of English and technical support was given by Ms. R. Akshaya, Assistant Professor, Department of English.
