Department of Civil Engineering , Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute is happy to share the Day -3 report of the 5 – days Skill Enhancement Programme on “Empowered women – success stories ” organized in association with IEI MGR chapter on account of International Women’s Day 2022. The expected outcome is to lime light the opportunities in the field of Civil Engineering in general and for the women students in particular. Eminent and successful women from five different domains of Civil Engineering invited as speakers to share their journey for motivating the young minds to choose carriers in the field of Civil Engineering.
Dr.R.Sudhakar , Deputy Dean (Civil Engineering) welcomed the gathering. Dr.P.Gomathi Nagajothi , Assistant Professor introduced Dr.Roopa , Vice Principal (SLMCH) who delivered the special address emphasizing the importance of women contribution in nation building. The department felicitated Mrs.Bhanumathi , AGM Quality Sunx concrete Pvt.Ltd the guest speaker for day -3 with an award, “Kattidaviyal poriyiyalil Veeramangai ” as a token of appreciation towards contribution of students welfare. Dr.M.Narmatha , Associate Professor has introduced the speaker of the day. Mr.D.Ramakrishna , Assistant Professor delivered the vote of thanks.
