The Faculty of Humanities and Science , Department of English organized a Guest Lecture on ‘ ICT in Education – a bird’s eye view of its challenges and advantages in Higher Education’ today(10-2-2022).
Dr. V. L. JAYAPAUL, Assistant Professor and Head, PG & Research Department of English, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Tiruchirappalli was the resource person. The objective of the Guest Lecture was to inform how ICT tools can be integrated in online teaching and how they can impact students’ learning.
Dr. Jayapaul mainly focused on the challenges in the use of ICT in education and the new perspectives in teaching and learning with ICT.
The Guest Lecture was followed by a question – answer session.
The program was hosted by Ms. K. Gayathri , Assistant Professor, Department of English. Dr. V. Karpagavadivu, Deputy Head (Admin) Department of English warmly welcomed the gathering. Ms. B. Deepthi Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of English introduced the resource person to the audience. Ms. R. Akshaya, Assistant Professor of English and technical host of the session delivered vote of thanks. The program was broadcast through Stream yard and live on YouTube.

On the whole, this Guest Lecture with hundreds of participants across the state was a grand success.
