Dr. MGR Alumni Association proudly presents the report of the Decennial Reunion for 2007 – 2011 batch students dated on 19.12.2021. The programme was conducted both in Physical and Virtual mode
With enthusiasm and expectations all the faculty members were looking forward to meet the 2011 alumni.
The Reception and Registration was taken care by Mrs. Rama, Asst. Professor (EEE), Mrs. Hemamalinie, Asst. Professor (Civil) and Ms. Surya, Asst. Professor (IT).
Mrs.Kiruba devi, Deputy Dean MAA, initiated the meeting.
Dr. L. Ramesh, JR (EPA), gave a live walkthrough on main campus from the entrance to the seminar hall.
Welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Deepa, Asst. Professor (IBT) in offline mode.
Keynote address was rendered by Dr. Vishwanathan, Rector. He gave a wonderful insight about the role of alumni in upgradation of our University, Development of University in the past ten years and the achievements reached by our university.
Following that, Mrs. Kirubadevi summarized the events organized and contributions performed by the Association in order to bring the alumni together with the university.
Dr.Ethiraj (Dean E& T) welcomed the alumni gathered in the occasion.
As part of the interaction of Department heads with the alumni, Dr. Kanya, HOD (IT) welcomed the alumni and shared the highlights of the department.
Dr.S.Geetha (CSE) highlighted the importance of Alumni placements.
Dr. Rajan, HOD (Mechanical) expressed his happiness to meet the alumni and elaborated the height reached by mechanical engg. Department.
Dr. Rajeshwari Hari, HOD (IBT) , addressed the gathering and explained the importance of alumni in the growth of the organization.
Mr. Sathish, Assistant Professor (HMCT) welcomed all and delivered the information of the path travelled by faculty of HMCT.
Dr. U. Jayalatsumi, HOD (ECE), shared her thoughts on alumni reunion and detailed the procurement and growth of the ECE department.
Dr. Bhuvaneshwari, HOD (EEE) talked about the accomplishment and flourishment of the EEE department.
Dr. T. Kavitha, HOD (Civil) listed the highlights and unique growth of the civil department.
Dr. N. Jayachitra, HOD (Chemical) shared her memories about the alumni and elaborated the development progress made in the chemical engg department.
Dr. Suchitra, Dean Events and Alumni coordinator (MBA), expressed her happiness in meeting the alumni and listed the functioning of department to reach great heights.
Dr. Viji Vinod, HOD (MCA) took the opportunity to thank the management and MAA association for providing an opportunity for alumni reunion and also shared the information regarding the growth of faculty of Computer Application.
Following that, the event was opened for alumni discussion. Mr. Dinesh (MBA) alumni lead the interaction along with present alumni introduced themselves and remembered their golden days in Our University. They discussed about how MGR removed their hesitation and inculcated self-confidence and moral strength. They also shared their fun filled memories with their classmates and friends. It was really an enjoyable moment for all.
After the alumni discussion, the alumni present offline were honoured with memento by the management. To frame the memory, group photos were taken.
Finally, Mrs. Meera, Assistant Professor (MCA) delivered the vote of thanks.
The gathering was provided with delicious lunch and with heavy heart and full of memories everyone departed.
