“The Role of Satellites in 5G Communications”

The Department of ECE in association with Academic Staff College organizes Six days Faculty Development Program on Recent Trends in 5G Technologies from 06.12.2021 to 11.12.2021.The session-1 of DAY 4 (09.12.2021) was about “The Role of Satellites in 5G Communications”. The Resource person was Dr. D. Gukul, Deputy Director, ISRO. The session-2 was about “Applications of Data Science in 5G Technology”. The resource person was Mr. Sutirtha Sahu, Senior Software Engineer, Tesco HSC Bengaluru. The session-1and session-2 of the event were started off with the guest speakers introduction by Ms.Neeta Moolani, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE and Dr.K.S.Thivya, Professor, Dept of ECE respectively. The resource persons of session-1and session-2 shared their knowledge on the integration of satellite based solutions in to 5G technology and Synthesization of Data science, Artificial intelligence and machine learning with 5G technologies respectively.Both the sessions were highly useful and interactive. The sessions were ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Neeta Moolani and Ms.M.Janani, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE. The event was coordinated by Dr.M. Kumaresan and Mr.K.Manivannan.
