Faculty of Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Aviation and De-novo courses, Department of Psychology, Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, Adayalampattu, Phase II Campus, is organizing their first national conference “Bodhismrithi – 2021” on the theme India Psychology “Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya” on 29th October 2021. It is a platform to get insight about the concept of Indian Psychology and to present scientific papers to revive knowledge in the field of Psychology.

Our Honourable President, Er. A.C.S. Arun Kumar will preside the conference. Mr. K. Venkatesan, Former Principal, Vivekananda Educational Society is the keynote speaker of the conference. Dr. Venkateswaran, Dr. T.K. Lakshmi, and Dr. Nirmala Narayanan participate as the panel members.

“Tamosama Jyotirgamaya – May the light of knowledge remove the darkness of ignorance”. The conference aims at gaining knowledge and understanding of Indian concepts in the field of Psychology. Century’s old ancient Indian literature is an embodiment of psychological wisdom identified more in the form of philosophy, rituals, and traditional practices. Indian psychology is rich in contents and sophisticated in its methods which are valuable in applied aspects. The Indian concepts
has been accepted world-wide as a model impregnated with solutions to the problems of the contemporary society. The conference intends to enlighten the participants with ancient perspective that are relevant to the modern day problems. It succors in understanding the significance of diversified psychological practices that can help in finding meaningful solutions to a wide range of mental health issues experienced by the people. The scientific paper presentation adheres to the conference with the focus on encouraging the researchers to share their findings and inferences.
