Guest Lecture titled, “Big Data Analysis ” organized by the Department of Mathematics, Dr.MGR Educational and Research Institute, on 15th July 2025 in University Seminar Hall, Phase I Campus. The Event started at 10 am with Tamizh thai Vazhthu. The welcome address was given by Dr .T. Johnson, Head, Department of Mathematics. The Chief Guest of the Event, Dr.Mohamed Mustaq Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Department of Artificial Intelligence, The New College, Chennai, was introduced by Ms.Priyadarshini, Research Scholar, Dept. of Mathematics. The objective of the event was given by the Event Coordinator, Ms.S.Bhuvaneswari , Assistant Professor, Dept.of Mathematics.
The talk given by Dr.Mohamed Mustaq Ahmed gave a deep insight into the concepts of Big Data like Hadoop distributed file system, Clustering in Data Science and so on. He also focused on the Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive and Prescriptive analytics together with the k clustering concepts. The session was very active and interesting and it was really useful to all the participants in particular the students from the Department of Information Technology, Computer Science and also students from the Bhaktavatsalam Memorial College for Women, Chennai.
Finally, the Questions raised by the participants were answered by the speaker. Vote of thanks was given by the Event Coordinator, Dr.R. Nandhini devi, Associate Professor, Dept. of Mathematics.
