The event, titled “Nanotechnology: Pioneering the Future of Medicine and Industry,” featured an inspiring and insightful session by our distinguished guest speaker, Dr. G. Abirami, Associate Professor, VELS University. Her dynamic presentation illuminated the vast potential of nanotechnology in transforming medicine and industry, leaving the audience enriched and motivated.
The session commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Ms. K. R. Vivedha Sri, 2nd year B.Tech Biotechnology student, setting a positive and enthusiastic tone for the day. This was followed by a graceful Guest Introduction by Ms. Kamalika B, 2nd year B.Tech Biotechnology student, highlighting the achievements and expertise of our esteemed speaker.
Dr. Abirami’s talk offered a compelling journey through the emerging landscape of nanotechnology, drawing connections between scientific innovation, real-world applications, and future possibilities. She emphasized how nanotechnology enables precision medicine, smart diagnostics, and sustainable industrial solutions by manipulating materials at the atomic level. From healthcare to environmental technology, the scope of nanotech innovation she presented was both eye-opening and inspiring. Her clarity, passion, and real-life examples deeply engaged the audience and sparked thoughtful discussions.
The event concluded on a heartfelt note with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Taanvikaa Swathy K. S., 2nd year B.Tech Biotechnology student, who beautifully acknowledged the efforts of the speaker, organizing team, faculty, students, and support staff.
