Day 3 of the 5-Day Certificate Training Program on ‘Art and Craft’

Day 3 of the 5-Day Certificate Training Program on ‘Art and Craft’ was held on 26/3/2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the B.Ed. First Year Classroom, Phase 2 Campus. The workshop focused on Rajasthani Line Art in Mandala Format, using thermocol plates as the base. The session, led by Ms. Geetha, introduced participants to the intricate patterns and symmetrical designs of Rajasthani line art, blending them with Mandala patterns to create a captivating fusion of geometric precision and cultural motifs. The workshop began with a black acrylic base coat from Fevicryl, providing a deep backdrop for the white designs. Once dried, students sketched Mandala-inspired Rajasthani line art, focusing on symmetry, repetition and fine detail. She demonstrated precise line work with 3D liners, ensuring a raised texture and taught techniques for maintaining balance and proportion in the designs. Participants also learned the mirror embellishment technique, adding small mirrors to enhance the artwork. By the end, each participant had created a art piece on thermocol plates, finished with mirror work for an elegant touch.
