“Case-based Mathematical Modelling with Differential Equations” organized by the Department of Mathematics, Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute, held on 28/10/2024. The Event was started at 2 pm. The welcome address was given by Dr. T. Johnson, Head, Department of Mathematics. The Introduction of the Guest speaker, Dr.V.Srinivasan, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Natural and Computational Sciences, Gambella University, Gambella, Ethiopia, was given by Mr.S.K.Rooban, Research Scholar, Dept. of Mathematics.
In his talk, Dr.V.Srinivasan explained the ideas of Mathematical Modelling with Differential equations. The talk gave a deep insight into the SIR (Susceptible, Infectious, Recovered) models which are the basic models in Differential Equations. He also gave the Adaptation of SIR models in some areas namely, Sustainable Agriculture, Addiction crime, and Rumour propagation.
The session was very informative. Finally, the questions raised by the participants were answered by the speaker. Vote of thanks was given by the Event Coordinator, Ms. S. Sarala, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Mathematics. Our sincere thanks to our Hon.President Sir, for his constant Support and Encouragement. We thank Ms.S.Priyadharshini, Research Scholar, Dept. of Mathematics, for comparing the Event. Thanks to the Department Event manager, Mrs. Y. Sabithabanu, Assistant professor, and all other Faculty members of the Department for their coordination. We sincerely thank all the participants from various institutions all over the world for making this event a memorable one.
