We are excited to present the report on Deeksharambh- Student Induction Programme’2024 organized by Faculty of Education, Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute on 24.09.2024 for B.Ed. I year students.
The Day1 Session hosted by Dr. Mary Thomas, Dean, Department of English, Dr.M.G.R.Educational and Research Institute on the topic ‘Soft Skills and Personality Development’. The resource person emphasized that soft skills are essential for leading a successful life, highlighting the importance of emotional intelligence, teamwork, collaboration, and time management. To illustrate the significance of soft skills, she shared a story that resonated with the students. She compared soft skills to a sauce that enhances the flavor of food, emphasizing that, in the same way, soft skills enrich and add fulfillment to life. She also discussed conflict resolution and offered practical strategies for balancing life and career. Finally, she encouraged the students to seek feedback whenever they undertake something, as feedback helps individuals improve and develop their personalities. The students reacted enthusiastically to her message. The topic discussed will be highly beneficial for B.Ed. first-year students, enabling them to effectively engage with the new generation while enhancing their soft skills and personality development.
