Report of Guest Lecture on “Applications of Mathematics in Computer Science”
The event was conducted at the Planet M Lab, VOC block, Phase I campus. The Program commenced at 2.00 p.m with the Tamizhthai Vaazhthu and Dr. T.Johnson, Head, Dept. of Mathematics, welcomed the gathering. The Resource person of the program, Dr. S. Prabhu, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai, had been introduced by the Research scholar Miss. Priyadharshini, Dept. of Mathematics. In the session, Dr. S. Prabhu elaborated the topic “Metric basis and its Fault-Tolerance in Graphs”. He also mentioned about Field Graphs and Twin Graphs. He has given some of its applications in the field of Computer Science. He also briefed its advancements in Robotics and Networks. The session had been wrapped-up with the vote of thanks by the Event Coordinator, Dr.R.Aruna, Assistant. Professor, Dept. of Mathematics followed by the National Anthem. Our Heartful thanks to our Hon. President for his continuous support and encouragement. We thank the Event Manager Mrs.Y.Sabithabanu and special thanks to Dr.A.Mahalakshmi, Assistant professors, Dept. of Mathematics, for their co-ordination . We also thank Mrs. Lakshmi Priya, Assistant professor, for compering the Event. Finally, we thanked all the Faculty members, Research scholars and students from CSE & IT departments for their active participation to make the event a grand success.
