Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhitha Vs. Indian Penal Code

The faculty of Law has organised a guest lecture on the topic “Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhitha Vs. Indian Penal Code” on 31st July 2024 from 12.00pm to 1.30 pm at Smart Room, Phase II Campus, DRMGRERI. The speaker was Mr.K.Sathish, Assistant Professor, Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College, Pattaraiperumbadur. The speaker enlightened the students regarding the history of changing the colonial legislation IPC into the contemporary Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhitha (BNS). All the major reforms and changes such as provisions form organised crime, petty cases, terrorism, mob lynching, removal of sedition etc. that have come into force through BNS from July 1, 2024 were also discussed. This special lecture was very commendable and brainstorming.
