The Faculty of Law has organized a seminar on Legal Drafting on 28 February 2024 from 12 PM to 1.30 PM at Smart Room, Phase 2 Campus, DRMGRERI
The eminent speaker Dr.Umayal AR, Assistant Professor, School of Excellence, Tamilnadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University spoke on the importance of drafting and how drafting is more important to a lawyer than to an author. The speaker emphasised that Drafting is made simple in these days mainly due to varied templates available in online websites and other forums.
Drafting must remain free from abuses and other negative elements.
The importance of grammar rules in drafting was also emphasised by the speaker. She presented a sample of plaint under CPC and the major areas where drafting is necessary and focussed upon. The drafting session enabled students to gain huge level of knowledge and awareness on the importance of drafting and it’s practicality.
The session was organised by Dr.R.Gomathy Sankari and convened by Mrs.R.Jeevitha.
