Subject Lecture on Labour Laws – Issues and Challenges

The faculty of law has presented a subject lecture on Labour Laws – Issues and Challenges on Sep1st, 2023 , Afternoon session 12.00 pm to 1.30 pm. The speaker of the session was our faculty Ms.G.V.Vidhusha, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law. The Speaker has discussed about the emerging challenges in labour law Jurisprudence (Social security, industrial disputes and occupational safety), Labour law reforms, Labour Law Compliance Challenges and Rights of private employees (working hours, maternity benefits, amenities) with special reference to the hardships faced by the migrant workers as a consequence of COVID-19 pandemic in our country. It has been a remarkable, enlightened and knowledgeable lecture to all the students. The session was organised by Mrs.D.Sarala and Ms.G.Saraswathy, Organizing Secretary and Event Convenors, Dr.R.Gomathy Sankari and Mrs. R.Jeevitha. This session was conducted with the guidance of Director Prof.Dr.N.Murugavel and Dean Prof.Dr.K.Murugadoss and faculty members.
