The Faculty of Law of our esteemed University has completed the third Prestigious National Conference at International Dias on 26th & 27th, July 2023. In this regard, as a Convenor I would like to submit a brief about our Conference to the members of our University 🙏
The Prestigious National Conference at International Dias was a contribution of our Founder Chancellor Thiru. ACS Shanmugam for the cause of sustainable social development. The Conference was inaugurated by our Visionaries represented by Honourable President Er. ACS Arun Kumar and followed by the Pattern of Mission VC Prof. Dr. N. Geetha Lakshmi and other dignitaries.
Prof Dr G Goplakrishnan, Provost, articulated the conduct of our conference based on the importance of the current debatable theme. Prof.GG, constructed a bridge between the International Dias and Our Esteemed University. Ms Anu Gopalakrishnan contributed a lot and she has come all the way from the USA to our University to be a part of the conference.
Mr. Bruce Gustafson, CEO of Developer’s Alliance, USA took part as Keynote speaker for the Inaugural Session ; Ms. Karina Stan, Director of EU Policy, Brussels joined us as a key speaker at Valedictory Session; and both the speakers joined us for “Fireside Chat” with Mr. Rishvik Pandra, International Sports Lawyer, Legal Head : Essentially Sports.
Mr. Bruce Gustafson was kind enough to set up the direction for the whole Conference by covering the Global Regulatory Framework for Data and Privacy Law, AI, and Content Regulation. He educated us on the nuances around Data Protection and Policy Making, providing us with a direction around how to balance the pursuit of innovation with the right accountability framework.
During his Fireside chat with Rishvik Pandra,he was kind enough to elucidate on
1) Section 230 & content regulation
2) AI governance
3) And importantly, the approach needed from young legal professionals towards the technological hemisphere. And
Ms. Karina Stan was kind enough to provide her Valedictory speech on the EU’s regulatory landscape and its challenges.
She covered the important spheres of EU Policy ranging from the basic framework of GDPR, to the latest jurisprudence surrounding the EU technological hemisphere and the latest developments on AI.

1) The latest Surveillance technology and it’s implications
2) EU-US overreach issues
3) The future of regulation around AI with scope of the EU;
Dr Bala Subramanian T., MS DLO, Dean Sri Lalithambika Medical College, Dr Ravi and Dr Balaji Singh from ACS Medical College, Prof. Dr Cyrilraj, Computer Science Professional, Prof. Dr Rabbiraj C Dean VIT School of Law, Dr Vijaya Lakshmi School of Excellence and various professionals, scholars and students from in and around India participated and contributed to the Conference. Participants from Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad are exemplary.
Prof. GCK, ED- legal ; Prof. Dr. N. Murugavel, Director, FOL; Prof. Dr. K. Murugadoss, Dean FOL ; Prof. Pankaja; Prof. Devanathan, Dr. Senthil, Dean Admin.Phase- II, Dr. Arunachalam, Dean Academics, and the members of the FOL along with students of the FOL and other learned members of the phase-II took part for the completion of the conference. The Faculty of Hotel Management extended their hospitality and it’s always a feather.
Pro. Dr. D Viswanathan, Rector of our University addressed us in the Valedictory session and shared the tech view on the debatable theme of our conference.
