The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organizes a one week ISR Event on “Computer Skills Development” for Corporation Higher Secondary School (CHSS),kalyanapuram,Vyasarpadi. The ISR event got started with the Inaugural function on 02.02.2023 at 1.00 P.M. in the school premises by the Headmistress Mrs. Jemmy Chakravarthy of the school. The event coordinators Dr.M.Anand additional HoD of CSE, Dr.F.Jerald Assistant Professor, CSE and the trainers for the day Sree Hari.T, 4th year, B. Tech CSE Mohammed Zuhaib, 4th year, B. Tech CSE were also present. The session is of five days with five sessions.
Day-1 started with the Session-1 of ”Basic knowledge about Computers”.First the event was initiated with a general talk about why we have to study computer science and what are all the benefits we have if we study this subject given by Dr.F.Jerald associate professor CSE and Dr.M.Anand additional HoD of CSE addressed the gathering. The Day-1 went on very well and from the feedback given by the school students even the school authorities were also very much happy and satisfied. The department of CSE is very much happy about the successful start of the ISR event.
Day-2 got started with a quick recap on yesterday’s topic including some Q/A session on 03.02.2023 at 1.00 P.M. in the school premises by the student coordinators of the event. The trainer for the day Sree Hari.T, 4th year, B. Tech CSE were also present. Day-2 started with the Session-2 of ”MS Word”.The Day-2 started with a introduction on MS OFFICE and the fields where we are using this applications and what are the benefits we have if we study MS applications.And also given some introduction on upcoming MS applications rather than MS word what they are going to learn in forthcoming sessions like MS excel,MS PowerPoint.
Day-3 got started with a quick recap on yesterday’s topic including some Q/A session on 06.02.2023 at 1.00 P.M. in the school premises by the student coordinators of the event. The trainers for the day Mohamed Taufeeq and Krithesh, 3rd year, B. Tech CSE were also present. The session is of five days with five sessions. Day-3 started with the Session-3 of “MS Excel” The Day-3 started with an introduction on MS OFFICE and the fields where we are using these applications and what are the benefits we have if we study MS applications.And also given some introduction on upcoming MS applications rather than MS Excel what they are going to learn in forthcoming sessions like MS PowerPoint.
Day-4 got started with a quick recap on yesterday’s topic including some Q/A session on 07.02.2023 at 1.00 P.M. in the school premises by the student coordinators of the event. The trainers for the day Arunprakash.S,Aadhithiya narayan.S and Sudarson.M.V 3rd year,B.Tech CFIS were also present. The session is of five days with five sessions. Day-4 started with the Session-4 of “MS PowerPoint” The Day-4 started with an introduction on MS OFFICE and the fields where we are using these applications and what are the benefits we have if we study MS applications.Next it was the introduction on MS Powerpoint and the fields where powerpoint is used and explained about the benefits of Powerpoint and how helpful it can be when it is well learnt.
The ISR event ended with a Valedictory function on 08.02.2023 at 1.00 P.M. in the school premises by the Headmistress Mrs. Jemmy Chakravarthy of the school. The event coordinators

Day-5 started with the Session-5 of ”Basics of PYTHON programming Language ”.First the event was initiated with a general talk about what they have learned on these five days and also with some general introduction on programming languages given by Dr.F.Jerald associate professor CSE and Dr.M.Anand additional HoD of CSE addressed the gathering. The Day-5 went on very well and from the feedback given by the school students even the school authorities were also very much happy and satisfied. And also we have selected some students who have performed very well throughout the event.Also given some prizes for those students on behalf of our department.
The department of CSE is very much happy about the successful start of the ISR event and with immense pleasure we thank our Event Coordinators Dr. M.Anand Additional HoD of CSE, Dr. F.Jerald Assistant Professor and Mr. Mohan. Assistant Professor.
