Department of Chemical Engineering had organized national level seminar, CHEMSORBS 22 * on “Lean manufacturing in process Industries, today 20.09.202 at HMCT conference hall of phase II campus.
The program was initiated with the welcome note delivered by department Head Dr. N. Jaya Chitra.

Dr.Gopalakrishnan, provost, Dr.Visvanathanand, Rector, Dr.Cyril raj, Additional Registrar, addressed the gathering and explained about the importance of Chemical Engineering in various fields and insisted students to apply their knowledge gained in appropriate way in their future endeavours.
Mr.Arokiyanathan Xavier MD VI tech enviro system gave inagural address. He spoke about his experience in ISRO and the role of chemical engineers in cryogenic chemicals handling, he also shared his former experience in conveting polyethylene terepthalate waste into yarns and to fabric application.
Mr.Suresh,MD,EID Parry, gave overwhelming key note address and gave an inspiring motivation talk to the students with good interaction.
Dr.Ramanvedarajan, Scientist, center for fuel cell, explained in detail about the Hydrogen and Lithium cell and various research progressing with respect to it
Alumnis Mr.Manoj, CPCL and Manodinakaran also participated and delivered alumi address.
Dr.K.Sujatha, Professor, Mrs.Francis panimathy, Asst professor, Miss Manimekalai, Asst professor, Mr.Ulaganathan introduced the speakers.
