we (Dr.C.Balakrishnan, Dean, Placement/IIPC, Dr. Rajeswari Hari, HoD-Biotech, Dr. S. Bhuvaneswari, HoD, BME) visited IBSC (Indian Biomedical Skill Consortium) AMTZ, Vizhakapatnam and signed MoU with IBSC for the skill development training and placement of Biomedical and Biotech students. Initially the program started at 10.30 am with a welcome address rendered by Mr. Mritunjay Jena, Head, ISBC. He highlighted the importance of skilled Biomedical Engineers and role of ISBC in grooming students’ skills to make them industry ready engineers. Later Mr. Naresh Kumar, Scientist D, ISBC showcased the courses offered by them along with hands-on training in association with medical devices manufacturing companies. Then we had a campus tour in which we explored the facilities such as 3D printing, Bio materials laboratory, EMI/EMC testing centre, Gamma radiation lab etc. In the afternoon session we had an elaborate brain storming session with the CEO Dr. Jitendra Kumar Sharma about the avenues which can be availed by the students. - One week free training and assessment in campus
Finally the exchange of MoU was completed with a group photo session. At the outset we thank our Honorable President sir, Vice Chancellor madam, Registrar sir and other executives for their support and encouragement in signing the MoU.
