The day 2 of FDP spreads its wings on “Current Trends in ICT” by an Erudite speaker, Prof. Dr. R. Asir Julius from State Council for Educational Research & Training (SCERT) from DPI campus. Ahead, the session endorsed on the Key role of ICT in 21st century Teachers Education by Dr. Gomathy, Dean (Academic Staff College).
The Speaker inscribed on the several remarkable ICT initiatives undertaken by Government such as EMIS, ERT, Energized Textbooks (ERB) to integrate the data and disseminate the information at educational system.
The functional role of Kalvi TV and AIR FM radio broadcasted from Anna Centenary library in providing continuous education during pandemic were conversed.
The session sphered over TNVN (Vagupparai Nokkin), a pilot project at its breaching level to improve the knowledge retention of students.
The prodigy steered on the implication of image recognition technique coupled with AR (Augmented Reality) which would be enjoyable in terms of teaching the same things in different ways.
