We are delighted to share the report of the Short Term Course (Day 5) on ‘THE ART OF PROFESSIONALISM’ was organized by the Faculty of Education, Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute on 17th April, 2023 with nearly 357 participants.
The session was chaired by Dr. V. Nalini, Asst. Prof., Vels Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies on the topic “Creating an Inclusive Classroom”. She highlighted the history, aims, objectives and importance of inclusive education. She mentioned marginalization, rules of interpretation codified in the Vienna Convention, United Nations Convention, Education as Human Right, NPE 1986, Person with Disability Act, 1995, NPE 2016, Practice of Inclusive Education, RPWD Act 2016 and initiative programs taken by Government. The topic discussed will be of great benefit to the listeners in handling today’s classroom management and will surely be helpful for the teachers’ approach in their daily life.
Dr.N.Kanya, HOD & Additional Dean, Engineering & Technology, Dr.M.G.R. ERI addressed the Valedictory Session. It was enlightening and motivating. The report of the five-day short-term course was elaborated by Mrs.J.Vigneswari, Asst. Prof., Faculty of Education, Dr.M.G.R. ERI. The session concluded with a vote of thanks.
