Faculty of law has organised a celebration event titled “Women’s Day” on 03rd March 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Banquet hall, Phase II, Adayalampattu Campus. The chief guest for the day was Tmt . A. JAYALAKSHMI, IPS, Superintendent of Police, State Human Rights Commission, Tamil Nadu.

The chief guest discussed on the importance of women in economical development. The speaker also discussed about various violations faced by women in the current era including the dowry harassment, dowry deaths, child labour and female infanticide. The speaker also discussed about the women empowerment and its effects in our society. The speaker concluded with a clear and crisp note on the Educational awareness of the importance of women in a family and in the society as a whole. At the end of the session the Chief guest presented the the women’s day appreciation memento to all the women faculties in the Faculty of Law for the dedication towards our department.The speech was really eye opening to each and every participant present for the event. The event was organised by Mrs. R. Shalini, Deputy HOD. The session was conducted under the guidance of our Director Prof. Dr.N.Murugavel, HOD Dr. R.Gomathy Sankari, and Deputy HOD Dr.M. Amaraa. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr.K. Senthil Kumar, Dean (Administration) and Dr. A.R. Arunachalam, Dean (Academics) Phase II for their continuous motivation and guidance.
