Faculty of Education presents the report on the 5-Day Certificate Training on ‘Art and Craft’, conducted for B.Ed. students. The workshop includes sessions on Waste Out of Waste Art, Glass Painting, Mural Art, Warli Art, Rajasthani Fabric Painting with Mirrors, and Canvas Art.
The Day 1 (24.03.2025) from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. the workshop focused on glass painting and Mouldit clay work on waste glass bottles. Participants applied a base coat of white paint to prepare the bottles before using glass painting techniques. The instructor, Ms. Geetha, guided students in creating designs with different brush strokes and blending techniques. Mouldit clay was then used to craft decorative elements, including floral patterns, which were later painted. She also explained the preservation techniques to ensure the artwork remained intact without peeling or fading. The session was highly interactive, with students experimenting with their creativity under expert guidance.
Day 2- ( 25.3.25) from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.the workshop covered Warli Art on MDF boards. Ms. Geetha introduced students to the traditional Warli painting style and demonstrated the use of glass liners for creating fine details. She explained how to prepare the base coat and provided reference materials to help students craft their designs. The counterpiece of the mural art was made using MDF boards, and Mouldit clay was used for the center design. The surrounding elements were created using fabric liners for added texture and precision. The session allowed students to develop their skills in traditional art forms while incorporating modern techniques for enhancement. The participants actively engaged in both sessions and look forward to the upcoming days of the workshop.
On behalf of the Faculty of Education, we extend our sincere gratitude to our Honourable President for allowing us to conduct this workshop. We also express our heartfelt appreciation to all executives for their unwavering support.
