The Faculty of Humanities and Science, Department of English organized a captivating Two days’ FDP titled “Language Learning and Teaching with AI Tools” held on 29th and 30th January 2025.The program began with a warm welcome address by Dr. A.Anitha, Head of the Department. Ms.V.G.Benila Selva Vincy, Asst. Professor introduced Dr.C.Vairavan, Associate Professor, Department of English, AMET University, Kanathur.He is an expert in integrating technology, specifically AI tools into language teaching and learning. His session was highly interactive and informative, highlighting the growing significance of AI tools in modern education.
Day 2 focused on AI tools with Practical sessions. Dr.A.Julie Elizabeth, Deputy Head addressed the gatherings followed by introduction of guest by Ms.G.Pavithra, Lecturer. Dr.P.Suresh, Assistant Professor, Department of English and Associate NCC Officer, at DG Vaishnav College, Chennai.His expertise and passion for the subject through every aspect of his presentation captivated our audience and leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. Many faculty members expressed their appreciation for the practical demonstrations and found the AI tools which are discussed particularly relevant to the current educational landscape. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.V.Karpagavadivu, Deputy Head.
