The Department of Biotechnology extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the interdisciplinary lecture, “Biotechnology Meets Engineering: Innovations in Healthcare Devices,” a grand success at R.A. Auditorium on February 14, 2025.
The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. Nishtha Rawat, a third-year BTech student in Biotechnology, who set the tone for the event. This was followed by an insightful introduction of our esteemed speaker by Ms. Kowsalya, a final-year BTech student in Biotechnology, who highlighted her contributions to biotechnology and biomedical engineering.
Dr. F. Fareeza delivered an engaging talk on the collaboration between biotechnology and biomedical engineering, highlighting the ethical concerns, funding challenges, and groundbreaking innovations in healthcare. She emphasized the growing role of AI in healthcare, particularly in prosthetics—which now offer real-time adaptability—and in early disease diagnosis, where AI-driven tools enhance accuracy and speed in detecting critical conditions. Her insights provided a glimpse into the future of personalized medicine and biotechnology-driven treatments, showcasing how interdisciplinary advancements are revolutionizing patient care.
