The Faculty of Humanities and Science, Department of English organized An Alumni Interaction Series on Career Guidance on 4th December 2024. Dr.A.Anitha, Head of the Department delivered the welcome address. Ms. P. Sujitha, Lecturer, Department of English, Dr.M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, and Mr. N. Mukesh, MA Journalism, University of Madras, were invited as the guest speaker. It was an interactive session between alumnus and UG& PG students. The students were given highlights regarding higher studies and job opportunities. MS. P. Sujitha explained the benefits of doing a Master’s Degree in Literature. She motivated the students about widespread demand for communication skills and the benefits of immersion in the world of literature to enhance their skills like empathy, critical thinking, and creative expression. Mr. N. Mukesh narrated the importance of literature and grammar which are the building blocks for effective communication, tool to express with clarity, precision, and creativity. The program was hosted by Ms. Nisha II BA English, the session came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Vedavalli II BA English.
