Usufructuary Mortgage and its period of limitation

The faculty of law has organised the 70th of 75 special Lecture series on “Usufructuary Mortgage and its period of limitation” on 1st August 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Phase 2 campus, DR.MGRERI. The Chief speaker of the day was Ms. T. Nikitha Sree, Assistant Professor, Vels school of law. The speaker pointed out the delivery of possession, retention of possession by the mortgagee, absence of personal liability for the mortgagor, the inability to foreclose or sell the property of mortgage and the right of redemption for the mortgagor. The speaker also elaborated the phrase “once a mortgage always a mortgage”. The session was organised by Mrs.R. Shalini. The event was Convened by Mrs AR. Vijayalakshmi.
