The Faculty of Law has organized an ISR event 2 on LEGAL AWARENESS AGAINST DRUGS on 6th May 2024 at Pulla Avenue, Shenoy Nagar, Aminjikarai.
The first speaker was G.Arun Kumar, MBA., ML., Advocate, Madras High Court Tamilnadu & Legal advisor in Rehabilitation Centre. And also he run a Educational and Charitable Trust.
He spoke about alcohol and drug abuse amongst youngsters causing personal and professional life issues due to the same. How it is related to child sexual abuse, violence and suicide. Prevention is the key and with the basic being “Say No to Drugs”
He also highlighted that if once started a person can stop it with support from family and friends. The police force and law always work together to achieve the same without creating any difficulties and maintaining a strict confidentiality.
The next speaker was Mr.Muthuram, Sub Inspector of Police Aminjikarai, who highlighted that school kids have a higher chance with working parents and how he is working on schemes to keep them diligent.
