The event commenced with a warm special address by Dr. Cyril Raj, Additional Registrar. The sessions were enriched with insightful discussions and interactive activities, aimed at enlightening participants about various holistic approaches to achieve overall well-being. Prof.Dr.Poovendan, acupuncturist, organiser at ATAMA, elaborated on the principles of acupuncture and demonstrated various acupuncture points effective in relieving day-to-day ailments. The audience actively participated, and learnt techniques to alleviate common health issues. Notably, special acupuncture treatments were provided to attendees, yielding immediate relief, particularly appreciated by staff members.
Following this enlightening session, Dr. Vairamani, the Dean, Department of Physical Education, took the stage to shed lights on the benefits of yoga. He emphasized the significance of incorporating yoga into daily routine for enhancing physical and mental well-being. Through live demonstration by Naveen III B.Sc Criminology & forensic science student, Dr.Vairamani showcased simple yet effective yoga asanas, including the Surya Namaskar, Cobra Pose, and Bridge Pose, among others. The session sparked discussions on the importance of leading a balanced lifestyle for a happy and healthy life. The event provided a platform for enriching conversations and practical insights into leading a healthier and happier life. Participants left with a deeper understanding of holistic approaches to empower and integrate these practices into their daily lives.
