The literary Seminary: A Professional society delighted to present the first day report of the “Workshop on Debate & Public Speaking” held at Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, Maduravoyal. The Workshop aims to develop the skills of “Debate & Public Speaking”commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. A. Anitha, Head, Department of English, who shared profound insights on the theme, as well as encouraged Literary Seminary members to recreate the history to bring more laurels to our University. Her opening remarks set a positive tone for the event, emphasizing the importance of debate skills.
The first day workshop saw an enlightening session on Debate delivered by the guest speaker Dr.P. Santhosh , Language Trainer, Asst.Professor, VISTAS with captivating session on Debate. He explained the structure of debate, how important listening and speaking skills are, how to enrich our vocabulary through cue cards, and jam session, also highlighted the importance of body language and the way of speaking. Students are divided as three groups to participate in the debate session.
Overall the session was more enthusiastic and enriching. The event successfully achieved its objectives and provided valuable insights on Debate.
