The faculty of law has organised a 49th special Lecture on “Mediation for Litigations ” on 12th of April 2024, from 11.30 am to 1.00 pm at the Smart Room, Phase 2 campus , DR.MGRERI. The Chief Guests of the day were Mr. Sree A Ramesh, District Judge, Chairman, Permanent Lok Adalat, Thiruvallur and Mr. Tr. P. V . Sandilyan, Secretary, Senior Civil Judge, Legal Services Authority, Thiruvallur. The lecture began by highlighting the growing need for mediation as a means of resolving any dispute.
Mr. Sandilyan emphasized that mediation acts as an essential mode of dispute resolution both in criminal and civil matters.
A very detailed and brief overview was given about the entire process of mediation and its significance and impact in the legal arena. The Guests encouraged the students to be open to opportunities worldwide and not to limit themselves domestically. The lecture was really informative and eye-opening. The session was organised by Mrs.N. Umachitra and Mrs.R. Jeevitha. The event was Convened by Mrs AR. Vijayalakshmi and Mrs.R.Shalini.
