The department of Chemistry organised a workshop on Cheminformatics – Chemsoftware, an educational session to students at Cheminformatics centre in Phase I Campus. The objective of the event is to develop the skills and add value to the course. The students of Dept.of Chemistry did compere the event. Dr.N.S.Subhashree, Jt.Registrar E&T, I Year presided over the function and delivered the key note address. Dean – Chemistry, Dr.P.Udhayakala warmly felicitated the gathering.
Dr.S.Radha, Asst.Professor, Dept.of Chemistry vividly explained about Cheminformatics through her presentation. The practical demonstration by the resource person helped the students to work out structures of few compounds and apply the tools in the software as per requirements. The students enthusiastically participated in the workshop and thanked the organisers and Resource person for acquiring insight knowledge in computational Chemistry.
