Day Two – August 11th, 2023:Valedictory and Online Paper Presentation Session
The second day of Litfest’23 witnessed a seamless blend of technology and literary exploration. Dr. Tusharika Sinha Banerjee, Associate Professor, Pillai College of Engineering, New Panvel & Founder, Sweekriti Asset LLP – Research and Development firm joined the Online Paper Presentation session virtually and graced the occasion as chief guest. The conference held its online paper presentation session, which allowed scholars who couldn’t attend in person to actively participate. Presenters delivered their papers virtually, showcasing the adaptability of modern literature to digital platforms. The virtual format enabled an even broader range of topics and perspectives to be explored.
The valedictory session commenced with a recap of the insightful discussions and presentations from the previous day.Dr.A.Anitha,Head, Department of English welcomed the gathering.*Provost- Dr. G. Gopalakrishnan, a prominent figure who has a deep appreciation and respect for literature,, delivered the valedictory address, highlighting the significance of English language and literature as driving force in contemporary world. Dr. Malini Pande, Additional Registrar P&D, Director IQAC, delivered a thought-provoking address which examined how literature responds to challenges, adapts to changing times, and reinvents itself in the face of societal shifts.
Litfest’23 concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Mohammed Harris – Student convener and Coordinator of the event.
As the curtains closed on LITFEST’23, The Department of English along with The Literary Seminary team takes this moment to thank our Honourable President Sir for always being supportive in our initiatives and accomplishments. We are grateful to all the Executives for their support in the smooth conduction of the event.
