The Department of Chemistry conducted an ISR Event by sapling plantation at Adayalampattu Phase II campus today at 11am.
The objective of the event is to celebrate World Nature Conservation day; to unite and advocate for nature’s protection and support nature, not exploit it.
To begin with, Dean( Admin) Dr.K.Senthil Kumar and Dean (Academic) Dr A.R.Arunachalam joined with students and planted a few tree saplings at garden in Adayalampattu Phase II Campus. Followed by this, few more saplings were planted besides ladies hostel Adayalampattu campus. The students while planting the saplings discussed on the critical role nature play in sustaining life on earth and how important it is to preserve and protect it. Thus the theme of World nature conservation day 2023 that is forest and livelihoods: sustaining people and planet.
