Faculty of Humanities and Science, Department of English organized A Two Day Faculty Development Program on 20th & 21st July 2023 on the topic “‘Bloom’s Taxonomy: Effective Teaching and Learning Methodology’”.
Ms.S. Bhuvaneshwari, Assistant Professor of English introduced the resource persons to the audience.
Day 1, Dr. Anitha, Professor and Head Department of English warmly welcomed the gathering and The speaker of the session was Dr.V. Nalini, Assistant Professor, School of Education, VISTAS, Chennai. The sessions began by Tamil Thai vazhthu, The main objective behind organising this FDP was to stimulate the participants and broaden their knowledge in Bloom’s Taxonomy. The resource person highlighted the three levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy: Cognitive domain, Affective domain, and Psychomotor domain in detail. The overview of CO-PO attainment and their correlation with Bloom’s Taxonomy was explored effectively. The session was interactive and informative. The session ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Julie Elizabeth Deputy Head (Academic) Department of English.

Day 2,
Dr. V. Karpagavadivu Associate Professor and Dupty Head (Admin.) Department of English warmly welcomed the gathering.The speaker of the session was
Dr.M. Soundharajan, Assistant Professor of English, Annamalai University. The session began by Tamil Thai vazhthu, The main objective behind organising this FDP was to motivate the participants and broaden their knowledge in Effective Teaching methodology. The resource person highlighted the Generative Method of Effective Teaching. He elaborated the generative method of teaching Poetry, Novel, Drama and Grammar. The session was interactive and effective. The session ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. V. Anuradha, Associate Professor, Department of English.
