We are profusely elated to share the report of the Outreach program – Home for the Aged, organised by the Literary Seminary:A Professional Society. Ms. Vinothini, faculty – Department of English was the Organising Secretary for the event and Mr. Deva Prasad, a student member of the club, was the Student Secretary. The event was initiated to provide necessary supplies and essentials for the old age home.
A number of Thirty student members and Four faculty members including Dr. Julie Elizabeth – Additional Head, Department of English visited the Karthikeya Old Age home, Valasaravakkam, Chennai managed by Mr. Chandrasekar and his family. The student members and faculty members together contributed essentials like rice, clothes, diapers and many more to the elders living in the old age home.
Students performed karaoke singing and dancing to entertain the elders. Meanwhile they joined together with the students as a part of entertainment. To understand the elders a time slot was allotted for students to interact and get to know them well. Overall the event was a grand success as its motive is meticulously carried out with the help of students.
The Literary Seminary takes this moment to thank our Honourable President Sir for his constant support and all the Executives for their commitment in all our endeavours and management for their aid in the smooth execution of the event.
