Report of Faculty Development Program on “R Software”

It is an immense pleasure to our department to share the report of Faculty Development Programme on “R Software” organized by the Department of Mathematics of Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute on 13th and 14th June 2023. The event was conducted at the PlanetM Math Lab, VOC block, Phase I campus. The Program was started at 1pm on both days with welcome address given by Dr. T. Johnson, HOD, Dept. of Mathematics. The Resource persons of the program Dr. S. Dhanasekar, Asst. Professor and Dr. V. Parthiban Asst. Professor, VIT, Chennai Campus delivered hands on training on “R Software” on Day 1 and Day 2 respectively. The Importance of R software and how it helps to analyze huge data were clearly explained through the program. The faculty members of the Department had an opportunity to learn about the basics of R software and this will surely have enlightened their knowledge. Heartfelt thanks to our Hon. President Sir for his constant support and encouragement. We thank the Program Coordinator Dr. A. Mahalakshmi, Asst. Professor and Department Event Manager Dr. R. Nagarathinam, Associate Professor for their effort and Coordination throughout the program. Finally, we thank all the faculty members to make this event a successful one.
